SPACEcraft was a socially-engaged, traveling art project in Pinellas County designed to build a sense of community by encouraging people of all ages to interact and create together.

SPACEcraft was produced with the support of Creative Pinellas and funded by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners. This public art project is an original work conceived and produced by Carrie Boucher, Bridget Elmer, and Mitzi Gordon. The final deployment was funded through a grant from the City of Largo, and delivered by artists Emily Stone and Tiffany Elliott.

Repurposing locally sourced shipping containers in an open-air environment, SPACEcraft traveled to Pinellas host communities and parks to present creative programs inspired by the themes of Make, Play, Read, and Grow.

Always-accessible interactive activities included a magnetic poetry wall, magnetic shapes mural, playable Duplo block wall, and a free public plant share.
